WHERE ARE WE GOING?

If you had asked me this question fifteen years ago I would not have replied "I think we will have 40 stores, be the largest oil jobber in Southern Missouri, have our own wholesale grocery supply warehouse, not to mention a training center. To reach twenty stores was an enormous goal. I still cannot believe God has blessed us with such tremendous growth.

I also believe we have become a better organization over the years. We now have our own Director of Human Resources, Director of Loss Prevention, Director or Corporate Merchandising and a Training Coordinator! Our growth has not been focused on the 'increase in the number of stores but rather on increasing the quality of our entire operation. Store numbers are impressive, but we believe each store is not simply a number on a chart. Each store must be profitable and be a store that meets our company standards.

I once told a Conoco Vice President in Houston that I wanted to be their biggest distributor. Fortunately for me I have become wiser and I now want to be their most profitable and most impressive. Image is very important and we continually work towards improving ours.

I believe our future will continue to be determined by our employees. Growth is a lot of hard work and only accomplished by a lot of good people working towards a common goal. It will be exciting to see where the employees of this company will take it in the future. I am always amazed but then I really shouldn't be we have a lot of great employees! THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!
